artist's statement:

I didn't choose to be an artist.

I am an artist because I have to be.

What I do is more vital to me

that warmth and light.

Creating art is like taking the first breath of life

over and over again

with each brush of the hand.

Mondays, July 6-27, 2-4 p.m.

Drop in and visit with Mickey while she works on sketches every Monday in July.

Mickey’s Workshop Schedule

Fridays, July 10 and July 24, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Central Resource Library

A hands-on workshop with Mickey for middle school students, ages 11-14. Participants can work with Mickey over two sessions to enhance their manga/comics drawing skills and create artwork that will be displayed at the Central Resource Library. Space will be limited. Check our online calendar for more information on the workshop.
