The Johnson County Library has two Young Adult Advisory Councils (YAACs), groups of teenagers who gathers monthly to:

  • Meet new people
  • Eat snacks and drink lots of soda
  • Help plan library programs and activities, such as the teen summer reading program.

One meets at the Central Resource Library on the third Saturday of each month, at 12:30 p.m.

The other meets at the Blue Valley Library on the first Saturday of each month, at noon.

Central Yaac July 17th Agenda

  • Summer Reading: make sure you are signed up for Summer Reading at www.jocoteenscene.org/goodreads and we will talk about prizes for the summer.
  • Boscars: we need to get as many people as possible nominating books and authors. How else can we be publicizing this?
  • Winter Programs: what do we want to do December-February? Come with ideas!
