The Johnson County Library has three Young Adult Advisory Councils (YAACs), groups of teenagers who gathers monthly to:

  • Meet new people
  • Eat snacks and drink lots of soda
  • Help plan library programs and activities, such as the teen summer reading program.
  • Review books before they are published as part of the YA Galley Project. Submit a review here.

Central YAAC meets at the Central Resource Library on the third Saturday of each month, at 12:30 p.m.

Bllue Valley YAAC meets at the Blue Valley Library on the first Saturday of each month, at noon.

Leawood YAAC meets at the Leawood Pioneer Library on the second Saturday of each month at 12:30 p.m.
