Kick off summer reading the right way and rock the Library with our first ever Rock Band Tournament on the XBox360. This is an after-hours event, which means the Library will be closed except for the tournament to bring your friends to cheer you on and enjoy having the Library so yourself! Open gaming for spectators and friends. Tournament details below. Ages 10-18.

Registration begins May 14. Register at the Central Resource Library or by phone at (913) 495-2490. If you are registering a band please have one person call for the group. If you are an individual looking for a band please let us know when you register.

UPDATE: We will be using Guitar Hero World Tour instruments in the Rock Band Tournament.  They are only slightly different from Rock Band instruments and you will have a chance to warm up before the tournament begins and get used to them.  We are still playing Rock Band 2 the game.

Tournament Preparation

Be prepared to play any of the songs in Rock Band 2 (Xbox 360 version). To see a list of songs, click here. There will be no consoles available for warm-up prior to competing. The Tournament Organizers are not required to provide How‐To‐Play instructions nor will they instruct competitors on how to use the guitars or how to better their score.

Consoles and Game Settings

All consoles, games, and instruments will be supplied at the event. Competitors may choose right or left handed mode. No cheats will be allowed to boost scores, nor will the use of external instruments or objects be allowed. Should a participant be caught cheating or using an external object, they will be immediately disqualified.
