Mandarin Chinese Language and Culture Workshop

Teen Linguist-in-Residence, Tina Wei will lead a Mandarin Chinese language and culture workshop for tweens. The workshop will meet every other week starting in September. Our nation’s judiciary plays a crucial part in the separation of powers provided by the U.S. Constitution, and its work – at the local, state and national levels - affects the life of every American citizen. This program examines the critical issues facing the judiciary and is presented as part of the Safeguarding U.S. Democracy project of the League of Women Voters.

Panelists will include: Chief Judge Kathryn Vratil, U.S. District Court for District of Kansas, Judge Brenda Cameron, Johnson County District Court, Judge Larry McClain, Johnson County District Court (Retired), Jon R Gray, Partner, Shook, Hardy, and Bacon and former Missouri Circuit Judge.
