Teen Artist in Residence
Danny Hull is the Teen Artist in Residence for the Johnson County Library, Summer, 2008. Danny is a 16-year-old Olathe high school
student. His hand-drawn illustration was voted as the image for the 2008 Summer Reading Program, "Blow Your Mind--Metamorphosis @ Your Library." Danny will be creating art live at the Central Resource Library this summer, and he'll be running drawing workshops at the Library. A reception will be held for Danny at the Central Resource Library on Sat., July 12, 2-4 p.m.

Danny's Drawing Workshops:
Wednesdays, July 9 and 23, 2-4 p.m., at the Central Resource Library
These will be hands-on workshops with Danny. The sketches you create will displayed in the Teen Room of the Library. This is for ages 10-14. Registration is required and space is limited. You can register online (July 9 or July 23) or call (913) 495-2490.

Danny's Accomplishments
Danny was chosen as a participant in Olathe's Human Relations Commission and School District #233 Essay, Visual Arts, and Multimedia Competition: Martin Luther King - Celebrate Diversity 2008.
He had art published in the fourth issue of elementia in 2007.
He was a participant in the Intellectual Freedom Mural at the Johnson County Library in 2007.
He received private studio lessons in shading and sketching from local artist Lee Hammond in 2007.
Danny received an Artistic in Excellence Award at Prairie Trail Junior High School in 2006.
